This property is a fine place to stay with good restaurants and a swimming pool and not far from the Schwedagon Pagoda. This was the first international hotel in Yangon, and is holding up fairly well even today. Guests will enjoy dining at the Park Cafe and the La Terraza Restaurant serves an extensive menu of dishes from around the world. The Dagon Bar is a great place for a drink at night. Overall, staying here is as special as anywhere else in this amazingly charming country where every day is like going back in time.

The Thamada Hotel is centrally located and close to nearly all that Yangon has to offer. It is within five minutes of the Scott Market and the railway station. A clean and comfortable place to stay in Yangon but in no frills style. However, all 58 rooms are furnished with air conditioning, hot and cold shower and bath, television, mini bar, telephone, voicemail, safety box and hair dryer. A favorite amongst budget travelers.

This property is a fairly standard hotel with good facilities and is located downtown near the main business district and close to Bogyoke Market. This 10 story hotel does offer panorama views of the downtown area. From there, the Sule Pagoda, Government offices, and Bogyoke Market are visible from the upper floors. The hotel has a fitness center and the restaurants offer a variety of foods including European, Chinese, and even Indian dishes. For entertainment in the evening there is a coffee shop and a beer garden.
